We provide an environment where people of DSC and families of children can interact and support each other. By offering on-going training sessions to parents, we help their child to reach his or her full potential and become an active member of society. We focus on self-improvement issues, like acquiring basic educational skills, personal health and hygiene, discipline and time management for these children with special needs.<\/p>\n<h4>SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT<\/h4>\n<p><strong>DSC<\/strong> gives a safe, healthy and fun based learning environment. Exclusive characteristics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dealing children with multiple needs<\/li>\n<li>Assessments<\/li>\n<li>Special education<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum<\/li>\n<li>Activities of daily living<\/li>\n<li>Art and vocational training<\/li>\n<li>Community outreach<\/li>\n<li>Therapy program<\/li>\n<li>Mother empowerment program<\/li>\n<li>Social activities<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Children with Multiple Needs<\/h4>\n<p><strong>DSC<\/strong> provide services to children with special abilities and needs (mostly suffering with neurological disorders and developmental delay) like Autism, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Down Syndrome, Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD) and Learning Difficulty (LD).<\/p>\n<h4>Assessment<\/h4>\n<p>When child steps in, his\/her informal and formal assessment has been done by our qualified professionals in following areas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Physical Development<\/li>\n<li>Language and communication<\/li>\n<li>Cognition<\/li>\n<li>Socialization<\/li>\n<li>Self help skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Special education<\/h4>\n<p>Our special educators provide consultation for academic, developmental, behavioral and learning difficulties and prepare IEPs (individual educational plans) for teachers according to child\u2019s specific need.<\/p>\n<h4>Curriculum<\/h4>\n<p>DSC is emphasizing on functional curriculum skills that based on daily living skills; recreation, leisure and employment need to be incorporated into specially designed curriculum.<\/p>\n<h4>Activities of daily living<\/h4>\n<p>The activities of daily living are designed to benefit children in multiple ways. These activities would be practiced constantly to make the child return to his expected level of physical and emotional involvement. Every visit is planned and we inform the students before visit. Reinforce student\u2019s appropriate behavior when he\/she show in new situation.
